Guest check in time is from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Please arrive no later than 8:00 pm to ensure other guests will not be disturbed.
Wi-Fi is provided throughout the B&B and is free to use. Details of the network name and password can be found in your room.
You’re more than welcome to arrive before 4:00 pm to drop off your luggage, but this needs to be by prior arrangement only, as we may not be in. After all, someone’s got to go out and buy the ingredients for your yummy breakfast.
There is a small car park at the rear of the B&B which is available for you to use. Alternatively, you can park on the road in front, however this can be busy during the day and we would ask that you are considerate to our neighbours when parking there. There is also a large free car park just over the road at the tourist information centre.
Please ensure you check-out by 10:00 am
This gives us a chance to make sure the rooms are pristine before our next guests arrive. As such, we don’t offer any late checkout facility.
All rooms and buildings (including guest bedrooms) are strictly no smoking – this includes vaping.
We include our full Scottish breakfast in the room rate. This includes: sausages, bacon, egg (scrambled or fried), tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans & a potato cake or one of our alternative breakfasts. View our full menu here.
Our buffet bar has now changed to a pre-order menu but still includes all the same items – just brought direct to your table instead of you helping yourself. This includes a selection of fruit, yogurts, pastries, cereal and toast. A selection of teas are also available along with coffee – either filter or Nespresso and a choice of fruit juice.
No. This is against the law.
I’m sure you’re glad to know Morlea is fitted with a very sensitive and sophisticated fire alarm system. This protects all our guests.
Guests who insist on smoking in their rooms (even leaning out of the window) will trigger the fire alarm. This means everyone will have to rush outside (us included) possibly wearing no clothes – and nobody wants to see that!
You’ll also make the other guests very angry because the fire alarm is incredibly loud.
As a punishment for the crimes of causing excessive noise and possible inappropriate nakedness, you’ll be subject to a minimum £50 additional cleaning charge.
No. We do bed and breakfast only.
However we’re lucky enough to have several pubs and restaurants, that serve high quality food close by, so why not give them a try! It’s all part of our rural charm.
We provide Cole & Lewis hand soap and Basic Earth Botanicals range of shampoo, conditioner & body wash There is also a hand towel and a large fluffy bath towel per person, for in room use.
Unfortunately although the entrance to Morlea is accessible, all our guest bedrooms are on the first floor and require a guest to be able to climb stairs. The stairs are quite wide, with the first set being full stairs and the second set half stairs. Pictures of the stairs are available to view in the gallery.
Yes, there is a hairdryer in each of our rooms for you to use. There is also a heat mat provided to protect the floor or surfaces when using hot items such as straighteners.
Our rooms are not big enough to accommodate extra beds and therefore we are unable to accept bookings with babies or young children. Older children are welcome as long as they are able to stay in their own room or share a twin room.
Each of our rooms has its own kettle & Nespresso machine, along with a selection of teas and coffee pods for you to enjoy. UHT milk is also provided, however if you would like fresh milk, please ask and we will happily provide it for you.
Yes, we are dog friendly at Morlea. You can view our Dog Policy here. However, we do have our own rather exuberant labradoodle Maisie so do ask that your dog is ok with other dogs. Maisie however is always ready for a stroke and a cuddle should guests want to meet her. But be warned she is a live wire despite her age 🙂
Morlea is situated in the heart of Drumnadrochit. Urquhart Castle is approximately 5 minutes by car and 35 minutes by foot. The walk to the castle is very easy and provides some lovely views or Urquhart Bay and Loch Ness.
There have been many people over the years that have claimed to have seen Nessie, although she can be somewhat elusive. You never know though, so make sure you keep your eyes peeled when you go along Loch Ness just in case!
We have tried our best to provide answers to many of the FAQs asked at Morlea but we are sure we will have missed some. If the answer to your question doesn’t appear then please contact us and we will be only too happy to help.
